The food and releif centre started in June 2015 as the personal donation of Pastor Sam & Family. Pastor Sam had a vision from The Lord to set up the foodbank with his own money, which he did. Since then individuals and some organizations also donate.
Our objective is to develop and innovate ways to tackling poverty & deprivation in the UK. Alongside the weekly food donations (Wednesdays 2pm-5pm), we also organize the annual Easter Soup kitchen and Christmas dinner where we fete the poor and needy.

Our Uniqueness Derby Hall Food and releif centre operates both as a referral and walk in which sets us apart from other foodbanks. As a result we are a preferred choice for many who are already so down that they couldn’t stand scrutiny before getting fed. We get referrals from the local authority, Job Centre and Citizens advice Bureau. The model pioneered by the Trussel Trust requires certification and referral by a network of Care Professionals for a person to qualify as needy and worthy of assistance.
Launched Dec. 19 2015 with support of Morrison plc Wood green.
Former Mayor Haringey Cllr Eddie Griffiths launched it on behalf of the Mayor .
Touching our community in a positive way with the God kind of touch and loving our neighbour. The foodbank initiated in 2015 by Pastor Sam and his wife Susan has now grown to serve more people. As a result we need to make purchases from time to time to supplement our supplies. (History, pictures and reports)
